President/Executive Director
Barzel Mckinney is a real estate developer/consultant and Entrepreneur located in Fredericksburg Virginia. Barzel is a highly decorated Army veteran who served over 20 years of military service in the fields of Human Resource Management, Training and Development and information technology. Barzel’s civilian career started as a loan officer and mortgage Banker where he achieved several annual awards and recognized as a top producer during his tenure. After 12 years as a mortgage banker and advisor, he elected to obtain his real estate license and cofounded their real estate company with wife Brenda. He performed duties as VP, COO, CFO, CTO and sales team leader. During his tenure the company “Touch of Sold Realty” achieved multi million dollar top team awards for over 5 consecutive years. They have sold over 300 Hud Homes, 220 VA Homes, helped over 200 families obtain home ownership. After building a successful team to carry on the company’s mission, Barzel embarked on opening up a real estate investment consulting company where he assist motivated sellers in selling their homes and investors in purchasing them. He also provides funding as a private and hard money lender to real estate investors. Barzel is also an active investor that have purchased homes and fix them up for veterans to either rent or purchase. It was there that a passion and a mission to help eliminate veteran homelessness was birth by providing affordable housing solutions for low income veterans and their families. He and his wife Brenda are the founders and Executive Directors of Haven For Heros Inc who’s mission is to eliminate veteran homelessness. Barzel currently resides with his wife Brenda and lives in Fredericksburg, VA. .
